I took out a public liability insurance online and with this was able to set up a trading stall on the platform of Darlington Bank Top train station. I spent 4.5 casual days there meeting passengers and engaging with them on many topics but the Terence Cuneo image I used for the cover of my book on the subject of 'No. 1' about the opening of the Stockton to Darlington Railways of 1825 did most of the work at getting them talking to me, in between trains and arrivals and departures, I engaged with lots of people, about three-quarters of which bought the book.
