Michel Labroue was the mayor of Trémolat in the 24 Dordogne region of France in 1969 and was instrumental in encouraging cult French film director Claude Chabrol to film his classic 'Le Boucher' there. Now in his 80's, I met Michel in April of 2022 along with his wife, Cultural Officer Sonia Roux and my cameraman Dan Bochereau. We were there to discuss our own plan of filming our modernised version of 'Le Boucher' there in the summer of last year. In the event, this plan did not work out but this edited recording is me explaining (in my poor French) our needs and hopes.
